It is true that the parents responsibility is huge! My husband and I were talking just today, and Lady Gaga came up in our conversation. A biz magazine (Fast Company or Inc) ranked her #1 in creativity and success of this last year. My husband checked out a video.... it disturbed me just hearing about it!!! The biggest thing I take away, aside from obviously living up to my responsibilities as a parent of raising my child up in the Lord.... was this.... I can NOT stay in my bubble any more. I have enjoyed living in a bubble of blocking a lot of this "WORLD" out. But hearing about "Miley".... then Lady Gaga... along with her over 3 million followers on Twitter.... it is quite the wake up call... there are people out there that ARE going to have an impact on this generation if the righteous do not raise up to do it! I think the parental control in her life and especially in this video, is due to something that I see DAILY!! It drives me NUTS & makes me SICK and I can't stand it. So many mothers dress up their little girls in clothing that IS NOT age appropriate because they think it's just so darn cute. Or it's because they themselves can no longer pull the look off and are living vicariously through their little daughters. I see it all the time here around the DFW area. I have had to hold my tongue so many times. I can see that through this whole video. I know that mom has to be on the other side of that screen saying, "doesn't she look so good & all grown up?"
